Salutations, I am 20 years old, I currently study at a Florida University, and politically affiliate as a Democratic Socialist. I was born in San Juan, PR, but have lived in the US for most of my life. I took an interest with Cold War-era music and art, which eventually led me to enter politics and become concerned with the increasing disparities in our society. I began to read literature by important thinkers on the left and am committed to spreading awareness of the vastly unequal country we live in.
Nicholas Just
Hey everyone, I’m 20 years old and I now call myself a leftist and I attend Penn State University. I became disillusioned with the American political system towards the beginning of my high school career, I always hosted a deep concern for the environment and for all life, seeing the atrocities committed by world leaders and my own future threatened by the greed of capitalists radicalized me to become a staunch anti-imperialist. I advocate for systemic change because the systems currently in place to promote innovation and longevity have long expired; only a new way of thinking can ensure a better life for the next generations.
Hector Miranda Plaza (he/him)
Hi, I am currently 18 years old, the editor-in-chief of this publication, and a Democratic Socialist. I’m originally from San Juan, PR, but I moved to the US for the last few years. I was introduced to politics during the election of Donald Trump, whose views I originally aligned with until I was pulled out of it by friends and other caring people. My views have greatly shifted over the years, and I am now dedicated to fighting against colonialism and inequality.

Hey there, I’m 18, a Florida patriot, and a Socialist. I took an interest in the political theater during the 2016 elections, and have kept an interest ever since. As the years have passed, I have taken an interest in more progressive economic policies that that benefit all Americans and not just the elite. Through this publication I hope to work towards reining in the worst excesses of the current economic system and ensure a free and prosperous life for all in our great country.
Jessica Cohen (she/her)
Hi, I’m 18 years old, and identify as Progressive. Ever since I was young, I loved the arts. Be it writing, or playing the violin and piano, I’ve always used the medium to express myself in ways impossible to do any other way. As I grew up and began to become more involved in politics, I began to see more and more climate change and pollution’s drastic consequences for the globe and became inspired to advocate for environmentalism. I soon hope to study natural resource conservation and become an environmental scientist, and look forward to speaking out on the pressing issue of climate.
Jennifer Iguana (she/they)
Hello, my name is Jennifer Iguana, she/they (pseudonym). I am a queer trans teenager from Illinois and I can best describe myself as an Anarchist. I enjoy intersectional theory and I’ve always enjoyed writing in my free time. I first was introduced to radical politics online through YouTube and I’ve been developing my worldview through conversation with others and reading often.
David Lee (he/him)
Hey, my name is David Lee, and I’m a 17 year old liberal democrat who lives in Ames, Iowa. I moved to the US from South Korea, and I currently attend high school as a junior here. I like to express political, social, and educational views through the medium of poetry and multimedia journalism in hopes of fostering compassion with readers, and am a strong believer in racial and gender equality, advocating for the environment, and investing in our futures through STEM education for all students.
Mridul Paul (he/him)
Hi, I’m Mridul Paul, a 18 year old from New Delhi, India, and a Civic Nationalist. I’m often fascinated by different topics like psychology, politics, history, mythologies and whatever intrigues me. I got involved in politics and history in 9th grade when I read about Fidel Castro and Stalin, and have been deeply interested in world around me ever since. My personal missions are human development as a whole, efficiency in governments, and reforms in whichever institute is possible. I wish to see a co-operative world which helps each other for uplifting of humans regardless of nationality. I wish to see my planet being healthy again, and I’m willing to sacrifice all my life working on these things.
Bryce Springfield (he/him)
Hi there! I'm Bryce, a 19 year old student studying in the Politics department at Princeton University. I've been interested in politics and economics since around 2017, when I believed in radical centrism and the golden mean fallacy. In 2018, I considered myself a center-left social democrat; and as time has passed, I've found myself significantly more sympathetic to cooperativist, radical democratic, and libertarian ideals. The most broad ideological label I would give myself is democratic socialist or libertarian socialist, but what matters most to me is expanding democracy within and outside of government and maximizing positive liberty. I hope to contribute to this magazine regarding various topics generally with democratic aims in mind.
Tyler Williams (he/him)
Hey, my name is Tyler Williams, and I am 18 years old. I am Mexican-American from San Diego, California, but I moved to Tampa Bay, Florida in 2018. I now consider myself a Progressive. I originally became interested in politics during the 2016 presidential election, and in 2020 I founded my local High School Democrats chapter and was recently elected State Chair of the organization after running a campaign focused on providing Mutual Aid throughout the state. I’m currently most concerned with voting rights; it seems like our right to vote is under attack as politicians are pushing legislation that makes it harder for Americans to make their voice heard. I also believe that our current two party system poorly represents the majority of Americans, as this system forces Americans to choose between the lesser of two evils. Other issues that are important to me are gun control, immigration and LGBTQ+ rights.
